Hathaway and Franco to Host Oscars!
Anne Hathaway and James Franco have been selected to host the Oscars, which will air February 27! I for one am excited. I love these two actors and I think they will make a dynamic duo! There is, of course, some controversy. They are both expected to receive an Oscar nod Best Actress/Actor. Hathaway for her outstanding performance in "Love and Other Drugs" and Franco for "127 Hours." I for one do not see the problem. Hosts are hosts, nods are nods - can't we all just get along? It's obvious the Oscar heads just want a young and lively audience, hence the immensely popular picks for hosts. I mean what girl doesn't love the cutie pie Franco? And Hathaway is just an adorable and lovable face. Both stars have hosted SNL and have shown that they shine when it comes to comedy. I'm ready for some good times come February 27!!

Watch What You Tweet!
Arrested because of Twitter?? That's right, you better be careful what you say on Twitter! There are two cases now of men who made what they claim to be sarcastic jokes, but has been taken as threats.
Click Here! to check out the article on Yahoo!
What do you all think? I think it's a little ridiculous, but then again when are threats serious? You can't just send a threatening email to someone (or back in the old days write a threat letter) and not be charged ... is this different? Are we going to have to censor what we write on the web? I believe so...the world is progressing into a new digital age and up until now the digital world was chaotic. Slowlly but surely the government (and advertisers) are figuring out how to manipulate it. The real question is, is THAT good or bad?

Why So Serious?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Steve-Johnson-celebrates-TD-with-a-Joker-quote-o?urn=nfl-287840
Alright football fans, here's one for you!
If you didn't watch the Bills vs. Bengals game I'm sure you heard about Steve Johnson's costly shirt decor..."Why So Serious?" Johnson was the self-proclaimed Joker in response to Ochocinco and T.O.'s Batman and Robin proclamation.
Am I the only one that thinks the penalties on these players are getting ridiculous? Half the fun of the game is celebrating! I know soccer wouldn't be the same without GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLAZZOOO-AZZOOO-AZZOOO !!!
Where is the money the player's pay in fines going to anyway? It all sounds like a scheme for the NFL to make more money. I for one miss the obnoxious victory dances. I think they are completely justified and show that players still have fun. People are way too serious about sports nowadays ... it literally is just a game.

California ... why so dirty?
Dirtiest Cities in the Country
This is the link to the Yahoo! News article which explained Prop 23 and gave a list of the country's dirtiest cities. Shockingly 7 out of the 10 on the list were from California. Even more shocking ... LA was #2 !! The number one dirtiest (in relation to smog and the ozone layer) was Bakersfield. Why? Now cars do leave a big carbon footprint, as do boats that port into the LA/Long Beach area (our nation's busiest port), BUT let us not forget farming and animals cause a lot of waste as well. This in combination with the oh so many truckers that blow through this city everyday on Highway 5 .. well let's just say it's a dirty combination.
What can we do? Well Cali, I don't know about you but I would like to consider our state green and clean! Let's recycle, re-use! Carpool to work, bike, walk, let's all do a little something to keep our state beautiful. Sure many people think Global Warming is a myth ... myth or not our planet does suffer from the junk that we put into it. Let's be considerate of all the other life the resides on earth :)

Guess Who Has Got a Reality Show
That's right ladies and gents, SARAH PALIN has got her own reality show, though she claims it is not a reality show. Well that's for damn sure - NO reality shows are actual reality shows. In my book, I don't call being on a set and bad acting reality.
Palin's new show is called Sarah Palin's Alaska and premiered on TLC on Sunday. The show seems to be a hit with almost 5 million tuning in, the highest rated debut TLC seen has seen thus far. Though the show keeps the political remarks at a minimum (for now?) some things do get slipped in - like the 14ft. wall her husband built around their fence to keep their neighbor from spying on them (he's journalist Joe McGinniss who is writing a book about her) which Palin compared to the fence on our borders to keep it secure.
Best of luck to TLC and Palin ... but let me tell you who WON'T be tuning in anytime soon ....

EMAs!!
So I'm sure we all loved the EMAs last night! This year the MTV EMAs were hosted in Independence Square in Madrid, Spain. It was hosted by Eva Longoria with perfomances by Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Kayne West, Ke$ha, Kid Rock, Linkin Park, Rihanna and Shakira! Talk about an awesome lineup!
Now I know we all love the musical performances, but my favorite part of any award show are the skits! I think my favorite is this one of Eva Longoria rapping! It's hilarious, love it!

Love Hate Relationship
Anyone else have a love hate relationship with the gym? When I'm at the gym, I'm in the zone. I put my headphones on (awesome music is a must when working out!) and am just hard at work for an hour! I feel so good after working out! Yah, sometimes I get sore, but I like that feeling ... makes me feel like I got something accomplished. My mood, appetite, and just overall health is better when I'm constantly working out. Not to mention the fact that it keeps me looking slim!
So what's to hate? The actual act of going to the gym! If you're like me you have to plan ahead- bring a gym bag to work, make sure all your stuff is in it. And then sometimes you forgot socks, or shoes and it ruins your routine!! Picking my lazy self up from my couch to go to the gym is another daily struggle. I'd rather be watching MTV Tr3s (haha). I also hate when the gym is crowded and full of those annoying people who go to the gym looking cute and spend half the time flirting and looking at themselves in the mirror ... get a life.
The best way to get over the slump is to find a gym buddy. I don't like letting people down, so when I know someone is counting on me to be at the gym with them, I'm there! You don't have to necessarily workout with them (I personally like to workout alone at the gym ... unless I'm doing a class!) but just having someone there to keep you motivated is always good! I personally cannot not go to the gym ... I love food way too much to give it up!!

Elections
Are you like me and feel that the elections are hyped up and the results are not? Think about it, we sit here and get bombarded with tons of commercials and debates prior to elections. We have protestors making noise and rallying, yet when the actual results are in where is the hooplah? It's just slightly odd isn't it? Just thought I'd leave you with that to ponder!
On a lighter note our altar pictures are up from Old Town! Check them out !! www.facebook.com/mtv3sd

This Weather!
I know everyone has been talking about it, but it's times like these when I just absolutely LOVE living in San Diego. It's November and we have HOT weather! Love it! Everyone should get there swimsuits on and head to the beach. Don't complain about weird weather patterns and enjoy what mother nature has blessed us with. Don't you all remember the "summer." It pains me to even call it summer. Enjoy the sweet sunshine while it lasts :)
Enjoy your day!!
