Favorite Christmas Song?

What's your favorite Christmas song? And I'm talking old school songs. Yes, we all love the N'SYNC and Mariah Christmas specials BUT I'm talking about the songs you learn in grade school. Classic music. MTV Tr3s likes to keep it old skool! :) This blogger's favorite would have to be the 12 Days of Christmas. Mostly because it impresses people that you actually know the entire song...people don't like memorizing other people's Christmas presents I guess.

Green Ranger

Everyone knew about his right?!?!

From Sport's Illustrated
The former action star from the hit series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" has officially made the move to mixed martial arts, and while training with UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard, he hopes to make his real fighting experience as successful as he did on television.

Frank signed on with Suckerpunch Entertainment recently and hopes to make his professional debut in the very near future.

"I was supposed to fight in 2007, but it fell through. In truth, I've wanted to put the work in until I'm ready," Frank said in an interview from the Suckerpunch website. "I know I have a target on my back. Everyone is going to want to beat up the Green Ranger. But I am no Kimbo; I've been training for a very long time. I wanted to get in there before, but I got injured. But I'll be ready when the time comes."

Good for him. At least we know he's working. I recently saw the black ranger on a Bank of America commercial...so good for both of them! Oh by the way, you read correctly. The tattoo on his left forearm DOES say Jesus Didn't Tap.

Dating

Dating. Scary? Fun? Exciting? Anxiety? These are just some of the words people express when they talk about dating. My thoughts? Dating should be fun. A person you just met should not have this sort of power over you. Take charge of your life. Be confident in who you are. Don't pretend to be someone you're not, that's just recipe for disaster. Why hide your true self when you are dating. Should you not show the person who you may potentially end up with for the rest of your life who you really are instead of playing a charade until 1 year deep into the relationship you have no idea who your significant other really is?? Think about it.

This coming from a married young lass, I can tell you that my husband saw my completely intoxicated within a week of knowing each other and I made a complete fool of myself. I told him I really liked him, I was loud, and I fell in a huge puddle of water/mud in the middle of the street. Four years later we are married and happier than ever. So my dating advice ... show your worst and the best will follow. :)

Old Skool

No matter how much time passes I just can't get enough of this jam. Such a classic!! Lookout weekend!!

Cruel and Unusual?

Think our prison system in California is cruel and unusual? Many inmates and their lawyers seem to think so. Check out the article: California's Prisons

What do you think? Yes prisons are overcrowded and somebody somehwere is benefiting from that. Do we all agree that prisons are over-crowded? California only hosts less than 5 % of the world's population but we have 25% of the world's prisoners. That can't be right! There has got to be a reason behind this. Do the streets feel safer? Do we have the right people in prison? Is the 3-strikes law really working? These are questions we have to ask ourselves. Now, true, it's hard to stand up for prisoners but they are people too. Some are good people gone a bad path ... others are indeed bad people BUT they are all in one big prison together. This explains prison violence and death. If we think about it, it is highly cruel to do that to the few that don't really deserve it.

Hathaway and Franco to Host Oscars!

Anne Hathaway and James Franco have been selected to host the Oscars, which will air February 27! I for one am excited. I love these two actors and I think they will make a dynamic duo! There is, of course, some controversy. They are both expected to receive an Oscar nod Best Actress/Actor. Hathaway for her outstanding performance in "Love and Other Drugs" and Franco for "127 Hours." I for one do not see the problem. Hosts are hosts, nods are nods - can't we all just get along? It's obvious the Oscar heads just want a young and lively audience, hence the immensely popular picks for hosts. I mean what girl doesn't love the cutie pie Franco? And Hathaway is just an adorable and lovable face. Both stars have hosted SNL and have shown that they shine when it comes to comedy. I'm ready for some good times come February 27!!
