Dia de los Muertos!

We are super excited to be part of the First Annual Tour of Altars in Historic Old Town!! We will be setting up our MTV Tr3s altar, "The Day the Music Died" at El Fandango!!! We will be honoring Latino musicians that have passed. RIP to all the talented and beautiful people who left us ... most much too soon :( .

Come join us at El Fandango. They will be having awesome food and drink specials. And we will be there partying!! Maybe some freebies?! You never know what's gonna happen when MTV Tr3s is in the house!! Be there Nov. 1 & 2 Old Town will be celebrating all day (and night :) ) What else will you be doing on Monday and Tuesday, honestly?

Sesame Street

So I don't know how many of you out there heard about the hair self-esteem Sesame Street video. It sends out a great message for not just young black girls, but girls in general. We should all be happy with ourselves and the beauty that we were born with :). That being said, this is the Roc Nation take on the Sesame Street video ... I've got to say it's amazing! haha

Latinos in Cinema

We here at MTV Tr3s like to give shoutouts to all of our Latinos in the arts!! Today I'd like to talk about a particular film with a good message. The film is Bella. It stars the hottie Eduardo Verastegui (sporting a huge beard). Here is the storyline courtesy of imdb.com.

I personally remember Verastegui as the bad boy on the telenovela "Soñadoras." Yes, that was about 10 years ago ... if you remember that more power to you!!

Halloween

With Halloween just weeks away we want to let you know where you can get your spook on! That's right we're showing you the scariest Halloween attractions in San Diego! These are all open until Halloween ... remember they are very popular destinations so be patient when waiting in line or get your tickets in advance!!


Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds
Three different adventures to choose from, Haunted Hayride, House of Horror and The Chamber. Choose one for $14.99 or all three for $27.99!!

The Haunted Hotel in the Gaslamp (424 Market St.)
This is definitely not for the easily scared (or Children under 10!). The hotel is closed Mondays and Tuesdays until the week of Halloween. Tickets are $17 for Friday and Saturday and $15 all other nights!

Haunted Trails at Balboa Park
This attraction is also for those 10 and up! Tickets are $15 Sun - Thur or $17 Friday and Saturday! Get combo and VIP packages as well!!

Haunted San Diego Ghost Tour
Thur-Mon Ages 10 and up! Reservations are required for the tour of all the haunted hotels, mansions and graveyards in San Diego!!

Latin Fridays!!

Fridays in San Diego are going to get WILD! All you Latinos out there need a place to party on Fridays??! Look no further, Spin Nightclub has joined forces with Kaloor Entertainment and are hitting it off on Ultimate Fridays. Are you the type that likes to party all night?? Well you are in luck because Spin is the only happening afterhours club in San Diego! That's right, when downtown is closing Spin is still raging!

Tonight the party is starting at 9pm and won't stop until you do! 9pm-9am is the official time but who knows how long the club heads will be getting funky! So head on out to Spin TONIGHT!

Who remembers Shakira??

I've been a Shakira fan for a while now. Although I admire her growing with the music industry and reinventing herself, I do miss the brunette, rocker Shakira. Here are a couple of videos to satisfy mine (and maybe yours) craving for the old (ironically young) Shaki!
